Delete your account.
You can delete your Pathlight account at any time. This page explains how to delete it, what deletion includes, and how it relates to your connected Google account.
Delete your Pathlight account
You can delete your account from inside the Pathlight app:
- Open Pathlight and go to Settings.
- On the Integrations screen, choose “Delete account.”
- Confirm when asked. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, so Pathlight asks you to confirm twice before it proceeds.
After deletion completes, Pathlight signs you out and returns to the welcome screen.
What deletion includes
When you delete your Pathlight account, we delete:
- Your Pathlight account identity
- Your stored Google connection — Pathlight revokes the Google grant on Google’s side and deletes the stored tokens
- Your stored Microsoft / Outlook tokens
- Your stored Apple iCloud Mail app-specific password
- The internal links between your Pathlight account and your connected providers
- Your saved Pathlight preferences
- Short-lived task and conversation context held for your account
- Feedback you submitted in the app (ratings and comments)
- Your analytics profile, when our analytics deletion is configured for production (see below)
- Encrypted token records in our token-sync database, if that mirror is enabled
Because Pathlight does not keep a durable copy of your mailbox, calendar, or contacts (it accesses them on demand to complete your requests), there is no long-term archive of that content to remove.
Honest status notes: analytics-profile deletion runs automatically only when the production analytics credentials are configured; otherwise the profile is removed manually. Some preference values may remain cached on your device until you delete the app. And if you used Sign in with Apple to log in, we cannot yet confirm that the Apple sign-in authorization itself is revoked on deletion — you can remove it under “Sign in with Apple” in your Apple Account settings. We do not claim deletion is complete in these specific respects.
Retention exceptions
Some limited records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup integrity. Our Privacy Policy explains these practices. If you have a specific deletion request that goes beyond the in-app deletion, contact us at pathlightproj@gmail.com.
Deleting vs. disconnecting vs. revoking at the provider
These are related but different actions:
- Deleting your Pathlight account removes your account and the credentials Pathlight stored for you, as described above.
- Disconnecting a service in Pathlight (Gmail/Google Calendar, Outlook, or iCloud Mail) removes Pathlight's stored access to that service but keeps your Pathlight account. You do this from the Integrations screen.
- Revoking access at the provider ends the authorization on the provider's own side (details below).
Provider-side revocation, by service:
- Google: on disconnect or account deletion, Pathlight revokes the Google grant on Google's side. You can also remove Pathlight under your Google Account → Security → “Your connections to third-party apps & services.”
- Microsoft / Outlook: Pathlight deletes the stored tokens, but Microsoft has no automatic app-revoke, so to revoke on Microsoft's side, remove Pathlight from your Microsoft Account's apps & permissions settings.
- Apple iCloud Mail: Pathlight deletes the stored app-specific password. For extra control you can also revoke that app-specific password in your Apple Account settings at any time, which immediately ends access.
If you cannot access the app
If you cannot use the in-app deletion, email us at pathlightproj@gmail.com and we will help. We may need to verify your identity before processing an emailed deletion request to protect your account.
